Integrative medicine
Conventional medicine, with a wider aperture
Integrative does not mean alternative. It means a physician looking at sleep, stress physiology, nutrition, and pain alongside the conventional workup, and using the tools that have evidence behind them.
- Physician-led
- a medical consultation
- Soundbed included
- a 30 minute acupuncture soundbed session each visit
- Usually self‑pay
- most plans do not cover acupuncture

Evidence-led, with clear edges
We offer the tools that have reasonable evidence for specific uses. Acupuncture has its best support in pain and nausea. Trigger point injections help a particular kind of muscular pain. Nutrition, sleep, and movement have well-established effects on mood and recovery. None of these cures anything on its own; all of them are useful in the right place.
The consultation is run by a physician trained in both integrative and palliative medicine, so the assessment is a real medical one. Sometimes the outcome is a referral for imaging or bloodwork rather than a treatment here.
We do not offer IV vitamin drips, hormone protocols, or supplement programs.

Is this for you?
Often a good fit
- Chronic pain, particularly muscular and neuropathic pain
- Treatment side effects, nausea, and fatigue during cancer care
- Sleep, stress physiology, and a nervous system that will not stand down
- Recovery after surgery, illness, or a sustained period of stress
- You want a physician who will look at the whole picture before prescribing
Not the right tool
- IV vitamin drips, hormone protocols, or longevity panels — not offered here
- Replacing conventional treatment for a serious diagnosis — this works alongside it, never instead
- An undiagnosed symptom that has not been worked up — that needs a diagnosis first
If what you need is a conventional workup, we will help you get one.
03
Usually self-pay

- Palliative care consultation

The first and follow-up consultations each include a 30 minute acupuncture soundbed session. You will know your number before you book.

Other questions
Is integrative medicine the same as alternative medicine?
No. Alternative medicine is used instead of conventional treatment. Integrative medicine is used alongside it, by physicians, with conventional diagnosis and treatment fully in place.
What is a soundbed session?
Acupuncture on a bed that transmits low-frequency vibration through the body along with sound. It is deeply relaxing, it is included with integrative consultations, and we offer it for nervous-system regulation and recovery.
What are trigger point injections?
A small injection into a taut, tender band of muscle that is producing pain locally or referring it elsewhere. It takes a few minutes, happens in clinic, and works best as one component of a broader plan.
Do you sell supplements?
No. Where a supplement has reasonable evidence for your situation, we will name it, and you can buy it wherever you like.
